About Sue

Artist. Designer. Maker.

I have always since a young child been interested in art, design and making things. My parents encouraged me to paint and try other crafts such as sewing, knitting and crocheting. I trained as a primary school teacher and was the art co-ordinator in most of the school I taught in as well as other subjects.

I lived in London and taught there as well. I took early retirement and moved to Suffolk with my husband and dogs. It was here that my interests in textile art and silver clay jewellery blossomed. I became a qualified Precious Metal Clay instructor and hold two internationally recognised Diplomas in Metal Clay and I teach silver clay workshops from my home or other venues here in Suffolk. I now teach both to adults, encouraging my students to ‘have a go’ and enjoy themselves.

I now make unique handmade silver jewellery mainly inspired by nature. All my jewellery is made by my own hands from silver clay which is an eco-friendly metal clay is 99.9% pure silver which is a recycled material.
