A single colour becomes a study in movement in Crimson Lace. Fine red threads gather into open loops and denser folds, creating a bold abstract shape against a pale ground.
The piece belongs to Sue’s colour studies, a series exploring how different textures can give one colour many expressions. Here, the contrast between airy stitchwork and fuller crimson areas creates depth without relying on a broad palette. Strong enough to make a statement on its own, this original textile artwork can also be grouped with other pieces from the series to build a personal collection of colour.
