About This One-of-a-Kind Textile Artwork
Strong magenta and a particular shade of green were the starting point for Pebbles—a pairing Sue felt belonged together. That experiment with colour grew into a layered textile collage, alive with rounded fabric shapes, intricate threads and small reflective details.
Metallic thread, sequins and freshwater pearls add sparkle among the green, pink and purple surfaces. The many elements are held together by the colour relationship at the heart of the piece, giving the eye plenty to explore without losing the overall composition. Expressive and richly detailed, Pebbles is an original artwork for those who enjoy confident colour and the close-up pleasures of textile craft.
